This one-day workshop begins with a short classroom session to lay down the technical aspects of using a ring light. A ring light produces a unique quality and style of light. Learn how to optimize that look to create creative and interesting portraits. Ring lights are basically shadowless lights. They produce a circular catch light in the subjects eyes as compared to a rectangular or whatever the shape of soft box the photographer uses. Learn about the characteristics of ring lights to assist in the purchase of such a light. Then students will advance to the studio and photograph a model using a ring light.
