#623 Sports - Roller Derby

Join us for this sports photography workshop where women on roller skates at the Masonic Temple in Detroit on the corner of Cass and Temple. Enjoy the clever names of not only the teams, but the individual athletes and their antics and costumes. Learn where the best vantage points to shoot from are and proper shutter speeds, f/stops and ISO. You don’t need long expensive lenses to shoot here. Everything can be photographed with around a 70-200mm lens. There is an intermission so you can purchase some hot dogs and a soda. Bryce will be on hand to offer assistance with shooting. The event is usually two hours in length so you can be home early. Parking is not inexpensive at $25-$30, but it is nearby and safe.
