You learned all of the basics in the Lightroom #210 Introductory course. Let’s build on that. This is a one-day workshop that covers some of the material in the six-week Intermediate Lightroom courses. We will focus on a few key things that bring you immediate benefit in your own photo editing, including: (1) Managing your Lightroom Catalogs and photos on one or more computers; (2) Organizing your editing workflow for consistent and speedy results; (3) Improving your understanding of how to adjust tones and colors in an image; (4) Expanding on defining and using various types of masks to make adjustments where you think they’re needed; (5) New guidance on improving object removal; (6) Export Presets that will simplify getting your images out to social media and friends. In addition, we will work with you in the lab on specific catalog issues you have and work with you on editing some example photos. We will work with you, so bring your laptop and external drives (for a desktop, provide screenshots of your issues) and bring some of your own photos in RAW format (if possible) on a thumb drive or have a link we can use to access them in Dropbox, Apple Files, or Google Drive. Of course you are welcome to use our computers if you wish.
This class is designed for some who has been regularly using Lightroom for a minimum of 6 months as this is not an entry level class. Just as a reminder; all digital editing classes are held at our Southfield campus located at 29260 Wildbrook Drive. (just east of Telegraph and just north of 12 Mile Rd.) Midwest Photography Workshops maintains a bank of 9 computers in our computer lab, but students are welcome to bring in their own laptop computer if they wish.
