This 3-hour workshop will provide instruction and access to photographing a young beautiful prima ballerina on location. You will photograph the ballerina while performing athletic leaps and graceful poses. Posing will occur on and in front of backgrounds which include steps and ledges, graffiti, tall buildings and the beltway; all to make the compositions created there a real portfolio builder whether you are using them for camera club competitions or for practice when shooting high school senior portraits for their environmental portraits. We will demonstrate and teach you how to optimize and enhance your image using fill flash and reflectors as needed. Bring your tripod. This four-hour workshop involves photographing a Fashion/Portrait Model downtown Detroit after dark using primarily the available light of street lights and other ambient light sources. In addition the second half of the class involves using multiple electronic flashes to supplement and blend with the ambient city light. Bryce will demonstrate the use of GoDox AD 200 flashes with remote triggers and the use of a flash meter.
Students will want to bring a wide angle zoom (perhaps 24-70mm) and a telephoto zoom (perhaps 70-200mm), Tripod, ample media cards and cable release. We will meet at the foot of the Joe Lewis Fist at the foot of Woodward Ave and West. Jefferson. GPS. Coordinates: 42°19'43.5621" N 83°2'40.2811" W at 6:00 PM.
