#129 Focus Stacking for Landscape and Macro Photography
Instructor(s): Bryce Denison
Tuition: $150.00
This one-day shooting experience begins with a classroom session to familiarize students with macro techniques using extension tubes on regular lenses or the use of macro lenses. We will also cover the use of close up lenses that look like filters but are actually two element lenses. After the classroom session, we will retire to the studio across the hall and photograph a plethora of interesting objects that will make for fascinating images. Finally, we go across the street from MPW and demonstrate focus stacking for Landscape photography where students can achieve depth of field not possible with regular lenses and aperture alone. Workshop #129 is run concurrently with workshop #160 except that #129 does not include the next day at the MPW computer lab where students learn to stitch the images together for the final output. #160 Workshop includes both days activities.
This is tripod shooting. Bring your lenses, cable releases, extension tubes and macro lenses. If you do not have these items, please call Bryce (313) 804-9266 to see if he has spares on hand for the platform that you shoot with. Space and spares are limited so sign up early and often!
