#409 Studio Flowers and Macro Techniques
Instructor(s): Bryce Denison
Tuition: $100.00
Learn how to compose, light, and expose fine art images of flowers in the studio! We will cover the use of different color temperature lights, (even at the same time!). Students will photograph many cut flowers using our state-of-the-art studio lights including both studio flash and hot lights. Learn about inexpensive extension tubes compared to purchasing expensive true macro lenses. Learn about focus stacking and custom white balance techniques. Bring your macro lens if you have one, if not, we have some for you to use. If you don’t have a macro lens, extension tubes will work just fine (we have some of those too). Bring your tripod; if not, MPW even have a few you may use. We will also explore the difference between capturing the image with maximum sharpness as compared to capturing a painterly ethereal soft focus impressionistic view of the flowers. We have some soft focus filters and lenses and will provide instruction on how to apply a textured back ground.
