#525 Painting with Light

Instructor(s): Bryce Denison

Tuition: $125.00

Join us for this one-evening workshop. Our goal is to provide the student with the knowledge and experience of photographing a model when you have nearly no light at all.  Then by using either an electronic flash or some other continuous light (even a flashlight) how to paint the light upon your subject.  The effects that this technique of lighting is special!  We will start the evening in the studio so everyone is warm and cozy then go outside and across the street from MPW to the cemetery for even more exciting photography. This technique is also spectacular without a model viewing the light by itself. Bring your tripod and shoe mount electronic flash.

Just like you go to a restaurant, it is common and appropriate to give your waitress/waiter a tip or gratuity, such is the case here. You are encouraged to provide a gratuity to your model at the end of a successful shoot. Suggested tip is 10% of the course fee for a Portrait/Fashion workshop, 15% of the course fee for a Lingerie/Boudoir workshop and up to 20% for a Nude/Figure workshop or even more if your model performs well (and of course; they will!)
