Available light is commonly defined as: light that is not intentionally created to supplement the existing light already at the scene. This class is designed to provide guidance and instruction to the photographer struggling with how to get the right exposure under difficult and low light levels. Some solutions include the purchase of expensive lenses with low f/stops and apertures. Other solutions involve raising the camera’s ISO to excruciating high numbers to obtain shutter speeds fast enough for sports, wildlife and hand held images. Learn about HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography; suitable for when the brightest parts of your subject compared to the darkest part of the subject is beyond the cameras capability. This master class is appropriate for photographers shooting: architecture, landscape, nature, portraits and night sky photography. Some lenses and camera bodies have built-in Image Stabilization. None of these solutions is the right answer for all shooting scenarios. Learn about all of them and create a plan of which ones or all of them that are right for you. A field trip is included.
