#606 Photograph Detroit Holiday Lights from a Segway – A one Day Workshop Starting Saturday November 28, 2026 4:00PM-8:00PM

Christmas Lights and Downtown Detroit; Does it get any better than that? YES IT DOES! Imagine photographing all that while riding a Segway. We will meet at Detroit Segway Co. near the Shipping Container! 2934 Russell St, Detroit, MI 48207 at 4:30 PM on Saturday, then receive some training on how to drive a Segway. Then, as a group, we will drive/ride them to nearby downtown Detroit to Campus Martius to photograph the ice skaters, Comerica Park, the Fox Theater and various parks which are spectacularly lit with seasonal Christmas lights. We will have ample opportunities to get off the Segways and walk around and photograph the people and lights of the evening. In conclusion, we drive our Segways back to our waiting cars (free parking) then rush home to download lots of spectacular photos. This will be just short of a Norman Rockwell or Currier & Ives Christmas card. Maximum of 8 Students. Tuition includes the Segway rental.

Note: If you intend to bring a tripod; Plan to carry it inside a backpack and not attempt to hold it in your hands while driving the Segway.
